The one with Der Lagi Lekin Chords

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara was a fabulous movie. Here is one of the songs from that movie. Felt I had to figure out the chords and sing it and spoil it for the rest of you :P.

Without further ado:

Notes:
The Strumming Pattern on this song felt like a slight variation of the "Soul" Rhythm. It is like playing "Soul" without the tapping. Obviously, while playing it the way I did, I messed up the rhythm and the bars at many points.

  17. @D:
There is no second part. This was like "Waisa bhi hota hai - Part II" :P
I just couldn't get myself to record again. And it has been almost a year since then.

Should really start posting again. Thanks for your kind words. :)
    Maybe I'll post another recording...

  18. Awesome cover and brilliant singing. I wanted to know the chords for the bridge part which starts from 'koi sunaye jo hasti muskurati kahani...' till 'bas yunhi ab yahan ab wahan'. I guess its D twice, D5 twice, G, A (whole pattern twice), then from 'baahein...' it goes D, D5, D, D5, G, A, D and D5. Please tell me if i'm wrong. :-)

  19. Hi Bhavya,

Thanks for your comment. While you are not wrong at all (it is a cover after all, so liberties are expected), I keep it much simpler. Updated the post with the chords I use at the bridge. In traditional march rhythm.

  20. Thanks a ton vinu! :-) I tried to cover the bridge on my own so just wanted some expert opinion. Wanted to make sure that I don't go wrong anywhere. As you say it's right and it sounds so to me, I'll keep it the same way. :-D

Also my friend and i have done a cover of 'Pani Da' from 'Vicky Donor'. If you can, please watch it and give your feedback. :-)

  22. Hey.. amazing voice & nicely played :)

Could you please share the strumming pattern?

  23. @Anuprita:

Really bad at annotating strumming patterns, but it goes something like this

    D`D`D* d`u`d`u` DD*

    where
    D` is down-stroke on the strings 6 to 4 or 3. (where 6 is the fattest :P)
    D* is a full down-stroke
    d` is down-stroke on the strings 4 to 1.
u` is upstroke on the strings 1 to 3 or 4.

Search for the "soul" rhythm on google and try emulating it.
